The Hard of Hearing Awareness Kit
for Hospitals and Medical Facilities was specifically
designed as an easy-to-use, low-cost solution for health
care providers seeking to insure that patients with
hearing loss can communicate and are safe while in their
facility.
Many HOH people have obtained these for
their own use, providing them to their health care
providers should the need arise.
Each kit consists of a poster, small
bright yellow self-sticking labels for application on all
medical records, tent cards, and an instruction sheet
outlining steps to effectively communicate with hearing
impaired patients. It is of a self-instructional nature
and incurs no ongoing personnel instruction.
